How the BOUNCE Ranking System works.
🏓 BOUNCE RANKING SYSTEM BASICS
The BOUNCE rankings use an ELO rating system like in chess. Every player starts with a 1000 rating and gains or loses points based on the relative skill difference between each other and the likelihood that each player would win. Some of the BOUNCE party champions start at 1600 so they don't have to win a billion games to get to their real ranking. They already proved themselves.
Everyone has a "percentage chance" of beating each other. Beating a higher-rated player (someone you have a lower chance of winning against) earns you more points. Losing to a lower-rated player costs you more. The bigger the upset, the bigger the change. Over time, the more you play, the more accurate your rating becomes. Don't sweat a loss, and fight for your wins. : )
FIRST 10 MATCHES
Your first 10 matches are provisional, meaning your rating moves faster so you find your level quickly. After that, the system settles into its "normal" rate.
